My name is Matt, I’m the Origin Concept Creator/Founder and co-inventor of the airway securing innovation device: LEAFix. I’m also a practicing NHS Anaesthesia Associate , having previously worked in the finance industry & now operating theatre environment for over 20 years.
I’ve created MED-INNOVATE, which is dedicated to shining a light on that first vital phase of any innovation project: spotting the problem and what next? Here I share my LEAFix Concept Founder Story, and share what I learned in the early days of my innovation journey.

Support & barriers to beginning
Many Origin Innovators never get out of the blocks with their ideas. What are the mental barriers putting people off, their first small actions, emotional support, how to observe problems better, how to live with the unknowns at the start. I know exactly what it feels like to be stuck in no-mans land with an idea that you are certain could be developed into a solution, having been there for over 10 years. I passionately want to share what I learned the hard way to hopefully help you push on and navigate your way forwards with your own ideas.
